Aaron White (@aaronwolfwhite): Co-Founder

Based in NYC, Aaron is the North America editor of openDemocracy’s ourEconomy section. In 2018, he completed an MA Distinction in European Culture and Thought at UCL. Interested in applying critical theory to contemporary society,  his dissertation focused on the role of anti-terror aesthetics in reinforcing a narrative of fear within urban environments.  His papers can be accessed here. Prior to studying in London, he obtained a BA Summa Cum Laude in Philosophy and International Relations from SUNY Geneseo. Studying classical and jazz piano for nearly the entirety of his life, Aaron also has a passion for both performing and working in the music production industry.

Freddie Stuart (@freddiestuart12): Co-Founder

Freddie Stuart is an audio producer and freelance journalist based in London. He is currently the producer of the ourVoices podcast at openDemocracy, and the author of the Beyond Bernie series for Novara Media. Freddie completed his undergraduate in History at the University of Nottingham in 2017. Since then he has graduated top of his program from a Masters in Modern European Studies at UCL. He specialises in Information Capitalism, surveillance and the data economy, as well as automation and the future of work. His MA thesis focused on the current and future role of automated technology in the society of late Capitalism. In 2019, Freddie organised and presented the pop-up TWT FM podcast at The World Transformed festival in Brighton.
